My Mixing & Mastering Process

Consultation & Vision Alignment

We start with a conversation about your creative vision, reference tracks, and sonic goals. I need to understand the emotion and impact you're aiming for before touching a single fader.

Stem Preparation & Session Setup

You send properly organized stems (WAV/AIFF, no master bus processing). I import into Ableton Live or FL Studio and begin session organization, gain staging, and initial routing setup.

Creative Mixing Phase

This is where the magic happens. Using FabFilter, iZotope, and creative sound design techniques, I balance levels, sculpt frequencies, control dynamics, and add spatial depth. For experimental tracks, I push boundaries while maintaining professional clarity.

Revision Rounds

You get the first mix, listen on multiple systems, and send feedback. I make adjustments and send revision #2. Usually, we nail it by revision 2-3. Communication is key here.

Mastering & Final Delivery

Once the mix is approved, I apply mastering processing using iZotope Ozone and FabFilter Pro-L 2. Final delivery includes streaming-optimized masters (WAV 44.1kHz/16-bit), high-res masters (WAV 48kHz/24-bit), and MP3s for distribution.

What file formats do you accept?

WAV or AIFF files at your project's sample rate (44.1kHz, 48kHz, etc.). Send stems with no processing on the master bus, unless it's part of your sound. Include a rough mix for reference.

How many revisions do I get?

Mixing: Up to 3 rounds of revisions. Mastering: 1 round of revision. Major structural changes beyond this require additional fees, but I strive to get it right within the included revisions.

Do you offer a test mix?

Yes! For $50, I'll mix 30-60 seconds of your track so you can hear my approach before committing to the full project. This fee is credited toward the full mix if you proceed.

Can you master tracks mixed by someone else?

Absolutely. Mastering-only services are available for $75/track. Send me your final stereo mix (WAV, no limiting/maximizing), and I'll optimize it for streaming and distribution.

What genres do you specialize in?

What if I need vocal tuning or editing?
